Dhaka – Awami League Joint General Secretary Mahbubul Alam Hanif has requested the Election Commission to provide him the round-the-clock security during the election. Hanif, a MP candidate of Kushtia-3 constituency on Tuesday sent a letter to Chief Election Commissioner Kazi Rakibuddin Ahmad seeking the security.
The letter on behalf of him was dispatched to the commission in the morning.
In the letter, he said he needs the 24-hour security as he thinks his life might be in danger when he visits his constituency in the days to come.
Earlier, some MP candidates including information minister and also Jasad President Hasanul Haque Inu and former minister Suranjit Sengupta also requested the commission for security during the election period. – UNB
