Don’t obstruct, help organise 18-party rally: B Chowdhury

President of Bikalpa Dhara Bangladesh Prof Dr AQM Badruddoza Chowdhury on Saturday called upon the government to help the 18-party opposition alliance to organise its March to Dhaka for Democracy programme instead of obstructing it.In a statement, he also called upon the opposition leader to remain alert so that the Dhaka March does not turn violent.
The former President mentioned that the Bikalpa Dhara and newly formed National Democratic Front have already made it clear that they would extend their support to March to Dhaka for Democracy in principle until the programme turns violent.
He however, said that the government would be held responsible if Dhaka March turns violent due to the government interference.
Chowdhury said his party wants the government to play a democratic role to hold such a big political programme without any interference.
He further called upon the opposition leader not to encourage violence by any means to organize the Dhaka March programme.
The BDB leader mentioned that his party never moved away from its stance.
