ASM Firoze blames media of exaggerating his words

Chief Whip ASM Firoz on Sunday accused journalists for exaggeration of his Friday’s statement that he wants “cash”.
“Media should not publish such types of news that amounts to a laughing talk. Those who have published such news should seek pardon,” he said addressing a press conference at the media center of Parliament. The statement that he delivered at a public-reception at Baufol in Patuakhali on Friday created criticism in different quarters.
The chief whip however regretted for his statement that he made urging people to give him cash instead crest at an open meeting in his constituency.
The local cable operator released the statement following the function.
Later, different newspapers carried out the news which receiving criticism in different quarters. Feroz clarified his position later and claimed that he demanded cash for raising fund for his party Awami League.
“I have uttered the word “I want cash” at one stage of gossiping during the address. But, journalists have published in a negative manner,” he added.
The chief whip alleged that he became the victim of conspiracies but he did not mention the names of responsible persons or media.
