Police in a drive arrested a local leader of BNP from Ullahpara upazila on Saturday night on charge of carrying out subversive activities.
The arrestee was identified as Azad Hossain, 49, general secretary of the upazila unit of BNP.Tajul Huda, officer-in-charge of Ullahpara Model Police Station, said a team of police conducted a drive in the area and arrested Azad at about 8:00 pm.He was wanted three cases filed for carrying out subversive activities and obstructing police from discharge duties. -UNB, Sirajganj
