A five-member committee has been set up to investigate the Jamuna oil depot fire that left nine workers injured on Friday.
Bangladesh Petroleum Corporation (BPC) has formed the committee, said its Chairman Yunusur Rahman.
The fire started while workers were welding an oil supply line inside the jetty at the depot of the state-owned oil refinery on the bank of the Karnafuli River at 6:15pm. But firefighters put it out within an hour.State Minister for Power and Energy Nasrul Hamid Bipu visited the injured, being treated at Chittagong Medical College and Hospital on Saturday.
He also visited the site of the accident, said Jamuna Oil Managing Director Alim Uddin Ahmed.
The workers are now better, he claimed.
