Jim Bolger, special envoy to New Zealand Prime Minister John Key, is scheduled to arrive here on a two-day visit on Sunday. An official at the Foreign Ministry said Jim Bolger, also a former Prime Minister of New Zealand, will seek Bangladesh’s support as New Zealand is a candidate for a non-permanent seat at the United Nations Security Council in 2015-2016. He is expected to meet Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, Foreign Minister AH Mahmood Ali and Foreign Secretary M Shahidul Haque during his stay in Dhaka, and will discuss issues related to bilateral trades between the two countries. The UN Security Council consists of 15 members — five permanent and 10 non-permanent members. -UNB
