Two people, including a minor girl, were killed and 15 others injured in separate road accidents in the city and Godagari upazila on Friday.In the city, a minor girl was killed in a road accident at Sapura Battala on Friday afternoon.The deceased was identified as Tonny, daughter of Tazul Isalm and a student of class III of Shishu Niketon School of the area.Locals said the accident took place as Tonny’s scarf got entangled with wheel of an auto-rickshaw she was travelling by while going to Zia Shishu Park along with her parents around 4:30pm, leaving her dead on the spot.In Godagari upazila, a man was killed and 15 others injured when a bus overturned on the Rajshahi- Chapanawabganj highway on Friday.The deceased was identified as bus helper Hero, 35, son of Abdul Malek, a resident of Court Mohishbathan area of Rajshahi city.Police said the accident took place when the bus turned upside down on the highway in front of Matikata Adarsha Degree College around 1:30 pm, leaving Hero dead on the spot and 15 others injured.The injured were admitted to Godagari Hospital and Rajshahi Medical College Hospital.Vehicular movement on the highway came to a halt for an hour following the accident.Officer-in-charge of Godagari police station SM Abu Forhad confirmed the incident. -UNB, Rajshahi
