Fakhrul sent to jail, to be questioned at gate

The Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) Court of Dhaka yesterday (Wednesday) allowed police to quiz BNP Acting Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir at the jail gate within 10 working days.
Magistrate Md Tareq Mainul Islam Bhuiyan of the court passed the order when police produced detained Mirza Fakhrul before his court seeking a 10-day remand for interrogating him in a criminal case filed with Paltan Police Station in the capital.Top BNP leader Fakhrul was shown arrested in the case filed with the police station on the charge of attempt to murder and making arson attacks on vehicles.
After hearing, the court also denied Mirza Fakhrul bail in the case. His counsel
Sanaullah Miah submitted the bail plea on medical ground, with a certificate of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) about his illness.
