A local Jubo League activist was killed allegedly over previous enmity in Fultola area of Shahjanpur upazila on Sunday afternoon.The deceased was identified as Ranju Pramanik, 38, an activist of the upazila unit of Jubo League and son of Shukur Ali, resident of the area.Police quoting witnesses said a group of miscreants shot at Ranju and stabbed him with sharp weapons when he was sitting in an open place in the area around 4pm, leaving him critically injured.Later, he was rushed to Shahid Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospita where the on-duty doctor declared him dead.On information, police recovered the body and sent it to the hospital morgue for autopsy.Abdul Mannan, officer-in-charge of Shahjanpur Police Station confirmed the incident.Ranju was accused in different cases including murder case and he may have been killed over previous enmity, added the OC. –UNB, Bogra
