Members of Border guard Bangladesh (BGB) in separate drives recovered 108 bottles of Indian Phensidyl syrup and 99 bottles of liquor from Jibannagar and Damurhuda upazilas early Saturday.
Tipped off, a team of the border force conducted a drive at Gayeshpur village in Jibannagar upazila and recovered 108 bottles of Indian Phensidyl syrup worth Tk43,200 at about 2:00 am, said a press release.However, none was arrested in this connection.
Besides, in another drive, on secret information, members of BGB-6 launched a drive at Munsipur village in Damurhuda upazila and recovered 99 bottles of liquor worth Tk 1,48,500 at about 3:00 am. -UNB, Chuadanga
