Abducted girl rescued in Sylhet after10 days

Ten days after her abduction, a class VIII girl was rescued from Shukria Market area of Jindabazar in the town on Tuesday.
A joint team of Kanaighat Police Station and Kotwali Model Police Station conducted a drive in Jindabazar area and rescued the girl, a student of Kanaighat Gov High School and daughter of Shamim Ahmed of Nij Bourbhag village in Kanaighat upazila, around 11 am.Earlier on March 15, the girl was abducted allegedly by Bahar Uddin, 19, son of late Ishak Ali, and his accomplices at Monsuria Madrassah point in Kanaighat upazila when she was going to the school in the morning on March 15.
Later on March 17, the victim’s mother Shakira Begum filed a case with the Kanaighat Police Station against six people including Bahar in this connection.
Kanaighat Police Station sub-inspector Rashedul Alam Khan, also the investigation officer (IO) of the case, said the rescued girl has been kept under police custody and she will go through some medical tests at MAG Osmani Medical College Hospital in Sylhet today (Thursday). – UNB
