Abducted school girl rescued after 80 days

An abducted school girl was rescued by the local police from
Dupchanchia bus stand area on Friday noon.
The rescued girl was identified as Farjana Khatun, 16, daughter of
Mojahar Ali of Atgram village under Chamrul union of Dupchanchia
upazila of the district. Police quoting victim’s family members said
that she was abducted on the way to SSC exam centre and after failing
to find her out her father filed a case with Dupchanchia police
station on March 24 accusing 7 persons mentioning names though she was
abducted on Feb 26.According to Case statement the abducted was an SSC
examinee of 2013 and on the day of geography exam; she was abducted by
Saidul Islam, 20, son of Jaher Ali of Paikpara village under Kalai
upazila of Joypurhat district and his cohorts.Officer-in-Charge (OC)
of Dupchanchia police station Riaz Ahmad said that on Wednesday she
was rescued and sent to the court. The court ordered to keep her under
her parents’ care.“The rest of the five accused will be arrested soon
as the two accused were arrested on the date of abduction.” oc added.
