Abducted schoolboy rescued in Jessore

Police rescued a student of class IX, who was abducted on Saturday, from in front of Asad Hall of MM College in the Jessore district town on Sunday.Police said Sheikh Naim Hasan Moon, a student of Jessore Education Board School and College, and son of Rajek Jahangir, news editor of local newspaper Dainik Loksamaj and district correspondent of TV channel Banglavision, was abducted by a group of miscreants from in front of Circuit House in the town on Saturday evening.The victim was returning home along with his school teacher Mokarram Hossain after participating in a science fair, where he exhibited an improvised drone invented by him, organised at Jessore Jila School.Moon was returning to his home along with his teacher Mokarram Hossain by a human hauler on Saturday evening when the miscreants intercepted the vehicle and abducted the boy along with his laptop.The abductors kept the boy confined and repeatedly inquired about the drone, according to the victim.Later, as the news of the abduction spread around, Police launched a drive and rescued the abducted from in front of Asad Hall of MM College around 8pm on Sunday.However, police could not arrest any one involved in the abduction.Superintendent of police Bhashkar Shaha said police will take necessary legal steps in this connection. -UNB, Benapole
