Duttapara police last night rescued a schoolboy, after two days of his abduction, from Sobhanpur area under Chatkhali upazila in Noakhali district.The boy was identified as M Shawon, 14, a student of class eight and son of Sahajahan Miah of Basikpur village under Sadar upazila in Lakshmipur district.Police said the abductor kidnapped Shawon at a gun point from his village on January 3 and demanded Taka 2.50 lakh as ransom from the victim’s parents.Soon after the incident, the victim’s father informed it to Duttapara police.On a tip-off, a team of police from Duttapara police investigation centre raided the area and rescued Shawon from a house, said Sub Inspector (SI) Jamal Hossain.Police also arrested abductors Kamrun Begum and Delwar in this connection. -BSS, Laxshmipur
