An eleven year old schoolgirl abducted from Serajnagar village under
Daulatpur upazila in Kushtia was rescued from Hatgopalpur village in
Jhenidah Sadar upazila after nine days of abduction. The Rapid Action
Battalion personnel also arrested the kidnapper Chhotan.
RAB Jhenidah camp commander Squadron Leader Hamidul Haque said, a gang
of miscreants led by Chhotan, had abducted the victim from Serajnagar
village under Daulatpur at about 4.00pm on June 29. She was returning
house from a private tutor. She studies in class five in a local brac
school.
Acting on a tip off, a contingent of the RAB had rescued the girl and
arrested Chhotan from Hatgoplapur village in the early hours of
Sunday. Both the girl and Chhotan were handed over to Daulatpur thana
police, the RAB commander added. -Our Correspondent
