Wife kills husband in Chittagong

A man was killed allegedly by his wife following a family feud in
city’s Masterpool area   under Bakalia thana on Wednesday night.
The victim was identified as Ayub Chowdhury, 51, a shoe shop owner, of
Rashidabad village under Patiya upazila of the district.
His wife Hosnera Bagum, 42, however escaped after the incident.
Mohammad Iqbal, officer-in-Charge of Bakalia Police Station said Ayub
died on the spot as his wife pressed his bladder at one stage of
altercation at their residence at 11.30 pm.
Victim’s daughter Tanzina Chowdhury, a 1st year BBA student of a
private university, filed a case against her mother with Bakalia
police station in this connection.
The body was handed over to his family members after autopsy at
Chittagong Medical College Hospital (CMCH) on Thursday. -BSS,

Human hauler driver killed in Rajshahi road mishap
A human hauler driver was killed on the spot and at least 10 of its
passengers were injured when the human hauler collided head-on with a
students’ bus of Rajshahi University at Binodpur Bazar area under
Motiher Police Station in the city on Thursday morning.
The deceased was identified as Bishad Ali, 45, son of Panku Pramanik
of the nearby Bakhrabad area. The injured persons are being treated in
Rajshahi Medical College Hospital.
Ashit Kumar Ghosh, Officer-in-Charge of Motiher Police Station, said
necessary measures were taken to send the injured persons to the
