Ahsiania Mision observes Month of recovery of drug patients

“We have to build up our confidence to overcome the daily challenges” – says a patient on recovery at the celebration of Recovery Month.
September has been known as Recovery Month, which is known as such in order to celebrate the achievement of recovering from drug use. Dhaka Ahsania Mission has also observed the Recovery Month on 22 September 2019 at Ahsnia Mission Female Drug Treatment Center (FDTC) with the title “The Story of the Winners”, where in-house patients, center staff and patient on their recovery journey participated.
During the event, Dhaka Ahsania Mission Health Sector Director, Mr Iqbal Masud welcomed and congratulated the individuals who are on their recovery journey. Senior Counselor cum Project Coordinator of DAM’s IRSOP project, Mr Amir Hossain also spoke during the occasion. On behalf
of the treatment center, recovery patients were honored with presents as symbols of appreciation. At the end of the event, Program Officer for FDTC, Ms Umme Jannat thanked the audience and reminded everyone to strongly adhere to the good virtues of life. The event was presented by center Counselor, Ms Farzana Akter Sweety. Current occupants of the center also organized a cultural show on the occasion.
Ahsania Mission FDTC has been contributing to the treatment and rehabilitation of drug dependent female patients since 2014. A total of 330 patients have received services from the center since its
