Dhaka-A local leader of Awami League (AL) was killed and another man injured in a road accident at Borogaon-Chachuli area on Panchagarah-Thakurgaon highway in Sadar upazila on Friday night.The deceased was identified as Bikash Chandra, 35, general secretary of ward No 7 unit AL of Awliapur union of the upazila.
Roshmati Rani Ray, assistant sub-inspector of Sadar Police Station said the accident took place around 8pm when a night-coach hit their vehicle, a motorcycle, while they were making their way home, leaving Bikash dead on spot and Satish Chandra injured.
Satish was admitted to Thakurgaon Adhunik Sadar Hospital, the ASI added.UNB news agency
