Dhaka – Police arrested a youngman on the charge of trying to steal a minor boy from Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) on Tuesday night.
Sources at the DMCH said Saijuddin alias Shahajuddin, 32, was caught red handed while attempting to steal an 8-month old baby from Ward no-110 on Tuesday night.Sub-Inspector Imranul Islam, duty officer of Shahbagh police station, said Ahsanullah Mollah,35, the father of the baby, is a cancer patient, and he has been under going treatment in the hospital.
When, Aklima, the wife of Ahsanullah, went to toilet keeping her baby to a woman, Shahajuddin allegedly tried to snatch the kid from the woman’s lap at around 10:30 pm. He was caught and handed over to DMCH camp police, SI Imran said.
Saizuddin has been interrogating in the police station. It seems to us he is a mentally imbalanced. However, we recived a complain from the baby’s parents in this regard, he added.
