Benapole – Police arrested an alleged drug peddler along with one kg heroine from Uposohor Park of Jessore district town on Sunday night.The arrestee was identified as Liton alias Hansh Liton, son of Abdul Jalil, a resident of Birampur Kalitola area of the town.
Hasanur Rahman, assistant sub-inspector of Kotwali Police Station, said on secret information, a team of police conducted the drive in the area at night and arrested Liton along with one kg heroine, one pipe gun and one cartridge.
Sensing the presence of law enforcers, two other drug peddlers — Mofu Miah and Rawshan — fled away.
However, a case was filed against three of them. – UNB
