Alleged ‘terrorist’ bullet-injuried in Jessore ‘gunfight’ with rivals

Dhaka – An alleged terrorist was shot in a gunfight between two groups of criminals in TB Clinic area of Jessore district town on Saturday night.The injured was identified as Yusuf, 30, son of Abdul Latif, a resident of Ghop Central Road in the town.
HM Shahidul Islam, sub-inspector of Kotwali Police Station, said on information that a gunfight ensued between two terrorist groups, a team of police conducted a drive in the area around 11.30pm.
Sensing the presence of police, the members of both the gangs fled away.
Later, police rescued Yusuf with bullet injuries at his right leg.
The injured was taken to Jessore General Hospital.
Yusuf was accused in several cases including one for snatching, said officer-in-charge of the police station Elias Hossain.
