Chattogram, June 18 – An activist of Jubo League was killed in an attack allegedly by a faction of the party on Chatteshwari road at Dampara in Chwakbazar area of the port city on Sunday night. The deceased was identified as Anik, 34.
Around 30/35 miscreants swooped on Anik and opened fire at him around 11 pm, leaving him dead on the spot, said Abul Kamal, officer-in-charge of Chwakbazar Police Station.
Tushar and Anik, two supporters of Chattogram city Mayor Nasir had an enmity over establishing supremacy, said Bagmonirum ward councillor and Awami League leader Gias Uddin. – UNB
