The eight hundredth episode of ‘Amaar Chobi’ will be aired today on Channel i at 6pm. The film oriented programme has often been dubbed as the private archive for Bangladeshi films. The number eight hundred is a milestone in the country’s media not only for film related programmes but also for weekly featurettes. Mahbuba Rahman will be the chief guest of the programme today. She was a background singer in the first audio-enable film of the country “Mukh O Mukhosh.” Shafiuzzaman Lodi and Shamim Alam Dipen have planned, written, directed the programme as usual.
About the eight hundredth episode Shafiuzzaman Lodi said, “Amaar Chobi has for long been garnering plaudits for its unique concept and style of execution. It has bagged awards from BACHSAS and many other organisations.” Amaar Chobi is into its eighteenth year now and is regularly aired on every Monday at 6pm.
