Rajshahi, April 23 – Members of Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) in a drive arrested three members of banned militant outfit Ansar Al Islam from Belpukur area in the city early Monday.
The arrestees are Md Raju Ahmmed, 24, son of Md Abu Bakar Siddiq, Md Farhad Hossain, 30, son of Md Aktar Ali and Md Jahangir Alam, 36, son of Akkas Ali, residents of Jamira village under Belpukur Thana.
A team of Rab-5 conducted a drive and arrested the trio along with five jihadi books, three leaflets, four mobile phone sets, SIM cards, memory cards and two ID cards, said a Rab press release. -UNB
