Anti-militancy meeting held at RU, RUET

Rajshahi-Organising discussion at the Rajshahi University (RU) campus, teachers urged the students not to take part in any subversive activities and maintain peace in the country.They said that extremism and militancy attack would be possible to stop from the country if we aware and take care of our brothers, sisters, friends, and even neighbors so that they could not be able to involve with such leaders who tried to kill the innocent people across the country one after another naming Islam.
RU teachers made such voice in a discussion meeting on the “Anti Militancy Issue of the Country” on Saturday morning at the Kazi Nazrul Islam Auditorium.
Student advisor Prof. Mizanur Rahman Khan conducted the discussion
while University vice chancellor Prof. Muhammed Mizan Uddin was in the chair.
Pro-VC Prof. Chowdhury Sarwar Jahan, Treasurer Prof. Sayen Uddin, registrar Prof. Entajul Haque and proctor Dr. Mojibul Haque Khan spoke on here. VC Prof. Mizan said none should be misguided by the wrong explanation of the Islam. He urged all to be united and stand against militancy and terrorism.

On the other hand, Rajshahi University of Engineering & Technology (RUET) authority declared the campus as crime and militancy free from a meeting on Saturday. Addressing as the chief guest VC Prof. Md. Rafiqul Islam Beg expressed that RUET has made as a safe campus that free from all kind of crime.There is no any place for militancy- terrorism.
Stern measures will be taken if anyone inciting to terrorism into theRUET campus, VC warned.
Among others, acting registrar Prof. Md. Mosharaf Hossen, civil engineering faculty dean Prof. Md. Abdus Sobahan, Mechanical engineering faculty dean Prof. Nirendranath Mustafi, Electronic and Computer Science Engineering faculty dean dr. Rafiqul Islam and Teachers Association general secretary Dr. Md. Abdul Aleem spoke in the program.-RU Correspondent
