Dhaka – Chittagong district police in a drive arrested a man again who was awarded 10 years rigorous imprisonment earlier in an arms case with foreign made pistol and ammunitions from a residence of Chandropur area under Hathazari upazila in Chittagong on Friday night.The arrested was identified as Abu Taher,38, son of Tobarak Ali, hailed from Chandropur area under Hathazari upazila of the district.Based on secret information, a team of Hathazari thana police conducted a raid at a residence of Chandropur village under Hathazari upazila of the district and arrested him with a foreign made pistol and seven round bullets, said Nasir Uddin, Sub-Inspector of Hathazarui thana.He said Taher has been fugitive for last seven years as a court of Chittagong awarded 10 years rigorous imprisonment to him.Another arms case filed with Hathazari thana in this connection, he added.BSS
