An army personnel was killed as a bus hit his bicycle at Ariabazar
Bandar in Shajahanpur upazila on Tuesday morning.
The deceased was identified as Sergeant Jahidul Islam, 45, of Bangladesh Army.
Witnesses said Jahidul was seriously injured as a Dhaka-bound bus of
‘Alhamra Paribahan’ hit his bicycle at about 10:30am.
Jahidul succumbed to his injuries at about 12:30 pm after he was
admitted to Bogra Combined Military Hospital.
Aggrieved locals blocked the road in the area and vandalised vehicles
demanding a speed breaker at the point of the accident. A case was
filed in this connection
