Ruhul Kabir Rizvi who was arrested by the Rapid Action Battalion has been handed over the Detective Branch of Dhaka Metropolitan Police.
The joint secretary general of the Bnp Rizvi had been issuing press release and making statements on the party’s behalf for the last 26 days of the blockade.Arrested from the Naya Paltan central office of the party on Mirpur 03 night, police claimed to arrange for his treatment as he was indisposed, Rizvi managed to secretly walk out of the Apollo Hospital where he was admitted under police guard.
After his arrest on early Saturday Rizvi was handed over by RAB to Badda police at about 4pm. Badda police then handed him over to the Detective Branch late in the afternoon.
Rizvi looked pale, aparently due to sleeplessness, lack of timely food, wash and rest. – Staff Reporter
