Asaduzzaman dismisses allegation Pintu was killed

State Minister for Home Affairs Assaduzzaman Khan Kamal on Sunday turned down the allegation of family members of BNP former MP Nasiruddin Ahmed Pintu that he was killed in a planned way in jail.
Pintu, a convict in the BDR carnage case, died at Rajshahi Medical College Hospital (RMCH) on Sunday. His bereaved wife Nasima Akhter, mother Hosne Ara and other family members brought the allegation while talking to journalists at their Hajaribagh residence in the city. When his attention was drawn to the allegation, the junior minister said the allegation was not correct and ill-motivated. He was talking to reporters after attending a conference at the office of Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of police (Dhaka Range) at Segunbagich in the city. “It has no basis,” Kamal said.
Earlier, talking to reporters at her Hazaribagh residence, Pintu’s mother Hosne Ara alleged that her son was killed after he was shifted to Rajshahi.
