Aug 7 set for for Holey Artisan attack charge hearing

An Anti-Terrorism Special Tribunal of Dhaka yesterday fixed August 7 for hearing on the presence of the accused who are in jail custody and whether the charge sheet in the case in connection with the attack on the Holy Artisan Bakery of Gulshan would be accepted or not. Judge Md Mojibur Rahman of the Anti-Terrorism Court passed the order fixing the date on Monday after hearing.
On Sunday the file of the case reached the tribunal from the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) Court of Dhaka. Earlier, on July 23, Counter-Terrorism Department Inspector Humayun Kabir submitted the Charge Sheet of sensation case to the CMM Court. Later, on July 26, the CMM Court passed order transferring the case to the tribunal.
As, of the charge-sheeted 21accused, 13 had already died, the Investigation Officer of the case sought to leave their name on the charge sheet. In the circumstances, 8 accused are now left in the charge sheet of the cage. Of the 13 accused killed, 8 were killed in raids whiled 5 died on spot. – Correspondent
