Jatiya Party Chairman HM Ershad on Thursday made Ziauddin Ahmed Bablu secretary general of the party removing Ruhul Amin Hawlader from the post. A statement signed by Ershad says, “You (Bablu) have been made Jatiya Party secretary general in recognition of your significant role in the party activities as well as the activities in strengthening it. This order will come into effect immediately.” Asked whether Hawlader has been sacked as the party secretary general, Ershad told UNB, “There’s no doubt about it.” – UNB
