NARAYANGANJ: Police rescued a baby after two hours of his abduction at Rauganj upazila in the district.
Police rescued the baby, Pial Mia, 4, son of late Afjal Mia from Gutiabo Agarpara area in the upazila.
Earlier, local terrorist Akhtar Hossain and his gang kidnapped Pial’s father on December 8.
Two-day later, bullet-hit body of the abducted man was recovered from Narshingdi.
The terrorist group repeatedly threatened Pial’s mother Pervin Akhtar of ‘dire consequences’ if case that was filed following the killing of Afjal, was not withdrawn.
Officer-in-Charge of Rupganj Thana Mainur Rahman told banglanews that they were trying to nab the abductors.
