A CNG driver was killed and two others were injured in a road accident
on Bogra-Natore highway at Boiradighi area in Nandigram upazila of
Bogra district on Wednesday.
The deceased was identified as Selim, 26, son of Abdul Zalil of
Amragohail village in the upazila.
Police said a Natore-bound speeding truck coming from opposite
direction hit a CNG run auto rickshaw in the area in the afternoon,
leaving its driver dead in the spot and two passengers critically
injured. Locals rescued the injured and took them to hospital.
Minor child drowns in Bogra
A minor school girl drowned in a pond at Brindabonpara village under
Sadar upazila of Bogra districts on Thursday.
The victim is identified as Nupur Khatun, 7, daughter of Moksed
Hossain of village.
Locals said Nupur went to take bath at a pond of the village on the
day. But she drowned as she did not know how to swim.
An unnatural death case was lodged with Sadar police station in this
