Bail petitions in Parag abduction case rejected

A Dhaka court on Wednesday rejected bail petitions submitted on behalf of  four accused and fixed August 11 for submission of newspaper advertisement asking two fugitives to surrender before the court in the case filed for Parag  abduction.Judge Md Sadiqul Islam Talukder of the Women and Children Repression Prevention Tribunal-1 of Dhaka passed the orders after a brief hearing.
The bail seeking accused persons are Mohammad Akash, Al-Amin, Kala Chand and Beauty while the two fugitives are Md Sultan and Md Wasim.
Parag Mondal, a six-year-old KG-1 student of Heed International School of the capital’s Sadarghat area, was picked up by a gang of four gunmen on the morning of November 11 last year at Shubhadda Paschimpara in Keraniganj.
The miscreants also shot and injured Parag’s mother Lipi Rani Mondal, 35, sister Pinaki Mondal, 11, and their chauffeur Nazrul Islam, 35, during the incident.
