A Dhaka court on Wednesday placed four associates of collapsed Rana Plaza’s owner Sohel Rana, on a four-day remand each. Rana’s four associates are Abdul Mannan, Alamgir, Md Modhu and Russel Ahmed, And Police arrested them on Tuesday.
Dhaka’s Senior Judicial Magistrate Toyabul Hassan Ujjal passed the remand order When the Investigation Officer (IO) of the case and CID’s Assistant Superintendent of Police Bijoy Krishna Kar produced the accused to the court Seeking a seven-day remand for each.
No lawyer of Dhaka Bar Association appeared to the court on behalf of the accused.
On April 24, the eight-storied building at Savar crashed, which caused the deaths of 1,127 garment workers and over thousand others were injured in the collapse.
