With the aim to increase agricultural productivity through identification, assimilation and extension of best agricultural practices and working strategies, an organization in the name of Bangladesh Agricultural Extension Network (BAEN) has recently been formed in a meeting with the participation of representatives from different government and non-government organizations offering agricultural extension services. Krishibid Md. Hamidur Rahman, Director General, Department of Agricultural Extension and Prof. Dr. Md. Sekender Ali, Department of Agricultural Extension & Information System, Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University, Dhaka has been made President and Secretary General respectively of the 25-member executive committee of BAEN.
We are hopeful that BAEN will contribute significantly towards raising the agricultural productivity in Bangladesh.
