Bangladesh Day in Jodhpur festival today

The Jodhpur Park Festival that started in Kolkata, India on January 5, will celebrate the “Bangladesh Day” today. Today a number of Bangladeshi performers will showcase their potentials in the festival. On the opening day Rezwana Choudhury Bannya performed.

Today Ayub Bachchu, Nashid Kamal, Kamalika, Bharat Fakir will perform. On the sixth day of the festival, that is January 10, Shwapnil Shajib is due to perform. The festival will end on January 14. Amongst noted Indian performers of this year’s festival are Jeet Ganguli, Nachiketa, Iman Chakraborty, Indranil Sen and more. The Deputy High Commissioner of Bangladesh in the provincial mission in Kolkata will welcome guests today.
A new film production house named Rushda Films unveiled the start of its journey on January 1 at a city hotel. Shahidul Islam Shekhar, chief advisor of the house made the revelations. Rushda Films will bring films on completely different themes and plots incorporating younger minds. Campaigns will be started in different universities to enlist youngsters. Already the production house has films in its bag and hopes to release one by the yearend. The production house will look to break away from traditional genres of Bangladeshi films.
