Dhaka- Bangladesh team will take on Namibia in one of the three opening day matches of the ICC U-19 World Cup’2018 on January 13 in Christchurch, New Zealand.The ICC announced the schedule of ICC U-19 World Cup on Thursday.The young Tigers have been pitted in Group C with Canada, Namibia and England.Namibia booked a seat for the ICC World Cup as the best finishers among of associate member.In the last edition, Mehedi Hasan Miraz-led Bangladesh made their exit form semifinal losing to West Indies by 3 wickets at home and played plate championship to finish 4th.The Group A team comprises defending champion West Indies, New Zealand, South Africa and Kenya, runners-up India, Australia, Zimbabwe and Papua New Guinea has been placed in Group B, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Asia qualifier Afghanistan and Europe qualifier Ireland in the D Group.A total of 16-team will compete in the tournament in seven venues of four cities — Christchurch, Queenstown, Tauranga and Whangarei.The top two teams from each group will advance to the super league while the remaining eight teams will compete in the plate championship.
