Bangladeshis for Biden National Council launched in US

South Asians for Biden has launched ‘Bangladeshis for Biden National Council’ to Mobilize the Bangladeshi-American Community Ahead of Presidential Election. South Asians for Biden announced Tuesday that it is launching the Bangladeshis for Biden National Council in an effort to mobilize the Bangladeshi-American community to vote for the Biden-Harris ticket. The Council, which is under the auspices of the South Asians for Biden umbrella organization, will be led by Anis Ahmed, who will serve as the National Director. In addition to Ahmed, the Council includes a list of venerated community leaders in its ranks.
“South Asians for Biden is excited to announce the launch of the Bangladeshis for Biden National Council and the esteemed leadership team, which will be led by Anis Ahmed,” said Neha Dewan, National Director of South Asians for Biden. “Bangladeshis are among the fastest-growing subset of the Asian American community, and the community’s participation in this upcoming election will be crucial to electing the Biden-Harris ticket,” added Dewan.
The Bangladeshi for Biden Council will encourage Bangladeshi-American citizens to register to vote, host candidate meet-and-greets, and educate the community about the importance of active political engagement.
National Director Anis Ahmed stated, “I am proud to lead the Bangladeshis for Biden National Council. Individuals of Bangladeshi origin are a burgeoning force in American electoral politics and are a growing population that can play a vital role in the upcoming presidential election by making political contributions, campaigning, and of course, by voting. The Council will work as a platform to motivate and engage more Bangladeshi Americans to vote in significant numbers for Biden-Harris ticket,” added Ahmed.
Anika Rahman, Communications Director for the Council, added “Bangladeshi-Americans are an important component of the American fabric, and we are excited to empower the community to make sure its voice is heard loud and clear this upcoming election. Electing Vice President Biden and Senator Harris this November 3rd is pivotal to our future.”
