All branches of scheduled banks shall remain open on Friday to operate cash and clearance services, a Bangladesh Bank circular said on Wednesday. The measures has been taken in view of repeated programmes of general strike and blockade – that affected normal operation of banks – observed by the opposition during the past several weeks.
