Mymensingh – Female students of a residential hall of Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAU) demonstrate for water in front of Vice-Chancellor residence on Friday at noon.Sources said, on 1:30 pm female students of Sultana Rajia hall demonstrate in front of Vice-Chancellor residence by blocking main road for 2 hours of varsity. Female students came with bucket, water pot demanded immediate supply of water in hall.
The students allegedly that from about 3 months water supply stops two to three times in a day and muddy water came from tap which was unlikely for using daily working purpose. We told hall administration several times about water supply problem but they cannot fix it.
Later, proctor and BCL activists sat in a meeting over the issue and came into a conclusion to solve the matter within Sunday.
Provost Prof Dr Kazi Shahanara Ahmed said that, I told administration and engineering section six times but it took much time to solve the matter. – BAU Correspondent
