BCB North Zone score 281/5 on day 1 in BCL

A brilliant half centuries by opener Junaid Siddique and one down Farhad Hossain guided BCB North Zone to score 281 for 5 in 90 overs at stumps against Walton Central Zone on the first day of four-day Bangladesh Cricket League (NCL) at the Shaheed Chandu Stadium in Bogra on Wednesday.Opener Junaid and Myshukur Rahman gave BCB North Zone 12to an excellent start contributing 124 ruins for the opening stand, after BCB North Zone opted to bat first.
Opener Junaid scored 78 runs off 135 balls laced with 11 boundaries while his partner Myshukur supported him with 49 runs off 113 balls hitting six boundaries.
After the departure of the two set batsmen, Farhad Hossain and Naeem Islam added another 85 runs for the third wicket stand.
Farhad hit a brilliant half century scoring 74 runs off 142 balls that studded with 10 fours while Naeem added 36 runs off 90 balls laced with six boundaries.
Mushfiqur Rahim and Sajedul Islam were on the crease with 33 and 0 run as the stumps were drawn for the day.
National spinner Elias Sunny captured two wickets conceding 73 runs.
