Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) Jahangirnagar University (JU) unit on Monday protested the expulsion of Shuvro Konok, BCL president of BUET from the university.
Protesting the expulsion of Shuvro, JU BCL brought out a procession from transport square of the university. The procession paraded inside the campus and terminated at Amar Ekushe premises after a short rally.Led by Mahmudur Rahman Joni and Rajib Ahmmed Rasel, president and secretary of BCL, JU unit respectively, two hundreds BCL activists including Minhazul Abedin Minhaz, Social welfare secretary and Deen Muhammad Shoyeb, Deputy Library secretary took part in the procession among others.
The BCL activists demanded the cancellation of expulsion of shuvro by the authority.
They also threaten to go on tougher protest programme, if the university (BUET) authority does not cancel the expulsion order. – JU Correspondent
