Bd High Court asks for guidelines on physicians’ practice

Dhaka, Feb 12 – The High Court on Tuesday asked the government to form an independent commission to formulate a guideline for the physicians to conduct their private practices.
Responding to a writ petition filed by five Supreme Court lawyers, a High Court bench of Justice FRM Nazmul Ahsan and Justice KM Kamrul Kader came up with the order on Tuesday.
At the same time, it issued a rule asking as to why the relevant law which allows the government doctors to do private practice should not be declared unconstitutional and illegal.
Earlier on February 4, five Supreme Court lawyers filed a writ petition seeking the High Court directives to stop private practice of government physicians. – Special Correspondent
