BNP has sold 4,112 nomination papers over the last four days among the aspirants who want to contest the 11th parliamentary elections with its tickets.
Of the total figure, 1,326 forms were sold on the first day on Monday while 1,896 on Tuesday, 488 on Wednesday and 402 as of 4pm on Thursday. BNP senior joint secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi came up with the statistics at a press conference at the party’s Nayapaltan central office.He said 1,209 forms were also submitted by the aspirates after filling those over the last two days.
The BNP leader said the nomination seekers are heading towards their own constituencies after submitting their nomination forms.On Monday morning, the party formally started the sale of nomination with the purchase of three nomination papers for its jailed chairperson Khaleda Zia.
