A motorcyclist was killed in a road accident at Tarpor in Putia upazila of the district on Monday.The deceased was identified as Majnu, 30, son of Abul Bashar of Baneshwar-Khutipara village of the upazila.Witnesses said the accident took place on the upazila road of the area around 2.00pm when a speeding Rajshahi-bound truck from behind hit Majnu’s vehicle and fled away, leaving him critically injured.Later, he died on way to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital.A case was filed in this connection, said Poba police outpost in-charge Amanullah. – UNB, Rajshahi
