Biman officials bail rejects and sent to jail

Dhaka-A Dhaka court yesterday (Thursday) sent two Bangladesh Biman Airlines officials to the jail rejecting their bail pleas in a case filed over the glitch in a flight carrying Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to Budapest.Metropolitan Magistrate Sabbir Yeasir Ahsan Chowdhury of Dhaka passed the order as Inspector Mahbub Alam produced them to the court on completion of their seven-day remand in the case. The two Biman officials are- engineer Rokunuzzaman and technician Siddiqullah.
The flight carrying Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina had to make an emergency landing at Ashgabat International Airport in Turkmenistan on her way to Budapest on November 27, last year, sensing low oil pressure in its engine.-Special Correspondent
