Police have obstructed BNP leaders and activists to stage democstration at different parts of the city leaving many people imjured.
Police arrested at least two BNP activists from Gandaria while city BNP convenor Sadeque Hossain Khaoka tried to bringout a procession, according to poarty sources.The BNP however staged demonstration at different places in the city as part of its programme.
The BNP yesterday observed the programme as the government did not give persimion it to hold a rally at Demra protesting the growing killing, enforced disappearance and abduction across the country including Naryanganj.
Demra, Jatrabari and Shampur thana BNP jointly bought out procession from Narayanganj road. Nabiullah Nabi, Mir Hossain Miru and ANM Saiful Islam led the procession.
Police foiled the procession it reached Dolairparh. Five to six party activists were injured as police charged batton on them.
A pprocession led by Atikul Islam Motin was brought out from Sat Masjid Road at MOhammadpur.
Processions were also brought out from Agargaon Lion Eye Hospital led by Fakhrul Islam Robin, Mansurabad Housing to Shekhertek by Advocate Shajahan.
The BNP also brought out processions at Tengaon, Badda, Darus Salam, Mirpur, Pallabi, Sutrapur, Bongsal, Kotwali, Paltan, Ramna, Dhanmondi areas. – Staff Reporter
