A local leader of BNP was injured by stabbing in an attack by some miscreants on the Abdul Hamid Road in the town on Friday night.The victim was identified as Anisul Haque Babu, joint secretary of the district unit BNP.Sources said the Sadar upazila unit Awami League brought out a procession on the Abdul Hamid Road ahead of the party’s upazila level council to be held on Saturday around 9:30 pm.
When the Awami League procession was passing through the area, 2/3 miscreants on a motorcycle swooped on Babu and stabbed him indiscriminately when he along with some party fellows were standing on the road opposite Pabna Press Club, leaving him injured.
