BNP, allies rally against ‘genocide, torture’ Monday

Opposition BNP-led 18-party alliance will stage rallies in upazila, district and metropolitan cities on Monday protesting government’s ‘genocide, torture’.
Joint Secretary General of the opposition BNP Ruhul Kabir Rizvi made the announcement at a press briefing on Saturday afternoon.
Ruhul Kabir Rizvi told the journalists: “The government is torturing people by using activists of Chhatra and Juba League.”
The press briefing was also attended, among others, by BNP Joint Secretary General Salauddin Ahmed, Organising Secretary Moshiur Rahman and Assistant Law Affairs Secretary Advocate Sanaullah Mia.
Besides, Chhatra Dal, student wing of the opposition party, will stage demonstrations demanding unconditional release of its leaders and activists and restoration of the caretaker government provision to the constitution. banglanews24.com
